Meghan Markle’s half-sister turned away from Kensington Palace

Meghan Markle’s estranged half-sister was reportedly turned away by Kensington Palace guards after arriving at the royal residence unannounced on Saturday.

Samantha Markle, who has multiple sclerosis, was photographed outside the palace gates in a wheelchair, where she and a male companion spoke to a security official before eventually handing over a letter, People magazine reports.

The following day, Samantha, 53, tweeted: “Everybody would love to know what’s in that letter.”

According to the Daily Mirror, the 53-year-old had flown to the UK “to confront her younger sibling” after sending another letter to Kensington Palace warning that her behaviour would “escalate” unless such a meeting was scheduled.

The “extraordinary public row” began after the Duchess failed to invite her half-sister to her wedding, reports the Daily Express. Their father, Thomas Markle, was also absent when Meghan married Prince Harry at Windsor in May.

An anonymous source told the Mirror: “The ongoing feud between Meghan, her sister and her father has so far been played out in public interviews and communication across the Atlantic via aides and representatives.

“This was a huge move on the part of Meghan’s sister to try to see her face to face, and the fact she was turned away speaks volumes.

“This is the closest Meghan has come physically to that side of her family since she married into the Royal Family, but palace staff had clearly been instructed not to allow her access.”

Last month Florida-based former actress and model Samantha tweeted: “I am not candy coating anything anymore! The DUCHASS should be humane to our father who has given her everything... and this media crap can stop!

“He was the one who was always there for her. Fake waves and smiles can stop. The duchASS can bow to the daddy.”
