A spat over who can vote early in Ohio

The Romney and Obama campaigns are exchanging blows over an Ohio law that allows only military personnel to vote on the weekend before Election Day, since the state’s Republican-led legislature shortened the early-voting period for everyone else. Romney called it “an outrage” that the Obama campaign has filed a suit challenging the law. “The brave men and women of our military make tremendous sacrifices to protect and defend our freedoms,” Romney said, “and we should do everything we can to protect their fundamental right to vote.” The Obama campaign said it wasn’t out to restrict military voters, but merely to “make sure every Ohioan has early voting rights.”
