Gossip: Tracy Morgan
Morgan has apologized for the homophobic rant he unleashed during a comedy show in Nashville.
Hollywood has come down hard on comedian Tracy Morgan for his homophobic rant last week, said HuffingtonPost.com. Morgan, 42, unleashed the tirade during a comedy show in Nashville, saying that being gay is a choice that “kids learn from the media,” and that he would “stab” his son if he acted gay. He later apologized, and said that he would meet with gay teens who’d been abandoned by their parents, and work with gay groups on an anti-homophobia campaign.
Among those criticizing Morgan were comedians Wanda Sykes and Chris Rock, and several fellow cast members from the TV show 30 Rock, including Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. Said Fey, “I hope for his sake that Tracy’s apology will be accepted as sincere by his gay and lesbian co-workers, without whom Tracy would not have lines to say, clothes to wear, or a printed-out paycheck from accounting to put in his pocket.”
