Jonathan Demme’s 1986 comedy wasn’t “conventional ’80s fare,” said The Boston Globe. Though the story “meanders” after an impulsive Melanie Griffith lures a staid Jeff Daniels into taking a road trip, its mood shifts are part of what make the Blu-ray edition worth a home screening.
