As Season 2 of this thoughtful drama begins, more than a year has passed since Hurricane Katrina, and “things should be getting easier” in New Orleans, as one character says. Instead, daunting challenges continue to confront a struggling trombonist (Wendell Pierce), a rebellious DJ (Steve Zahn), a widowed mom (Melissa Leo), and the rest of Treme’s colorful characters.
