The 'food terrorist' who attacked pizza shops... with mice
A Pennsylvania pizza shop owner is charged with trying to sabotage rival businesses with rodent infestations

The video: Pennsylvania police say a pizza shop owner committed "food terrorism by mice" by dumping live rodents in competing restaurants. The man, Nikolas Galiatsatos, was charged with criminal mischief, disorderly conduct, harassment, and animal cruelty after allegedly sneaking bags filled with the critters into two pizza parlors in suburban Philadelphia on Monday. (Watch a video below.) He was arrested when the owner of one of the rival eateries became suspicious and alerted two patrol officers who were in the restaurant. "I've been at this for 47 years, and I've never seen mice used as a criminal tool," says Upper Darby Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood, as quoted by Reuters.
The reaction: What a "dirty rat!" says the Delaware County Daily Times. This definitely wasn't "the best laid scheme of mice and men," says Stephanie Farr in the Philadelphia Daily News. Sure, the combination of mice and pizza "works for the Chuck E. Cheese brand," but that's about the only place the two go together, says Kim Conte in The Stir. Unfortunately, now that we've heard this story, we can't "get the idea of a pizza topped with pepperoni and mouse out of our heads!" See a news report on the case here:
