High school presentation takes a pornographic turn
Officials at a Pennsylvania high school have apologized to parents after students were shown images of hard-core gay pornography during morning assembly. The incident occurred during a slide-show presentation on the virtues of donating blood, using a flash drive belonging to an employee of the Central Blood Bank. No sooner had the drive been plugged in, said Detective Sgt. Jeffrey Bouldin, than “there were some images projected that were ... we’ll just leave it go as ‘undesirable.’”

A source close to the 24-year-old singer and avant-garde fashion icon says she is convinced the late, legendary artist speaks to her at night in her dreams, and that “her entire life has become dictated by these conversations.” Gaga has purchased several of Warhol’s works, says the source, and is now turning her home “into a shrine to Warhol. Her house is insane.”
Seaside chase for garbage pail ends in coastguard rescue
A British senior citizen had to be rescued after he tried to save a neighbor’s garbage pail from being carried out to sea. The man, who lives in a seaside village, saw the wheeled pail get blown into the waves and he jumped into a rubber dinghy to chase it. He caught up and lashed the pail to his dinghy, but winds carried his craft out to sea. The Coastguard rescued him a mile offshore, with the dinghy sinking. “This is the first time we have been involved in towing in a wheelie bin,” noted a Coastguard spokesman.
