Samantha Ronson: Moving on after Lohan
The 32-year-old celebrity DJ has been trying to set the record straight about her turbulent relationship with Lindsay Lohan.
Samantha Ronson is still reeling from her relationship with Lindsay Lohan, said Craig McLean in the London Times. A year removed from dating the troubled star, the 32-year-old celebrity DJ has been trying to set the record straight about their turbulent, 16-month relationship. To believe the tabloid version, it was all about drunken clubbing, drug use, and accusations that Ronson physically abused Lohan. It’s just not true, Ronson says. “Because my hair is short and I’m a DJ, of course, I must be masculine and I must be violent,” Ronson says.
The tabloids portrayed her as a corrupting force in the life of the former Disney star, but Ronson says that’s not the real story. “I was a great influence. As much as my life is in clubs, my personality isn’t. It wasn’t like I was going out and getting f---ed up every night. I’m a pretty private person.”
Despite the aggravation, though, she says she harbors no hard feelings toward Lohan. “I love her as a human being. I’m not gonna sit here and negate everything we had.” As to whether she might consider getting back together with Lohan, Ronson is uncharacteristically tight-lipped. “No comment on that one.”
