Woman hopes to become the fattest woman in world
A New Jersey woman is on a mission to become the fattest woman in the world. Donna Simpson, 42, weighs 600 pounds, and already holds the Guinness World Record for the fattest woman to give birth. She now has her sights set on reaching 1,000 pounds, a weight that should capture her the all-around title, and is eating 12,000 calories a day to get there. Simpson’s efforts are assisted by her partner, Philippe, who Simpson says is “a real belly man and completely supports me.”

Jessica Simpson doesn’t brush her teeth. The 29-year-old singer and actress, currently single after high-profile romances with guitarist John Mayer and Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, says that her pearly whites are “extremely powerful” and don’t require regular brushing—at least not with a toothbrush. “I do brush every now and again,” says Simpson, but most of the time, “I just use Listerine, and sometimes I’ll use my sweater.”
Snail slime elixir?
The leader of a Florida religious sect is under investigation for allegedly smuggling giant African snails into the U.S. and pressuring followers to drink the snails’ mucus. Charles Stewart, 48, who practices the African religion Ifa Orisha, cut open the snails during religious ceremonies and then dripped the snail slime into followers’ mouths, authorities said. Some of the followers said they got ill and lost weight as a result. “I did not invent this,” Stewart told The Miami Herald. “It’s something that is part of our religion.”
