Helmut Kichmeier of London was found by his wife, Joanna, who said he was glassy-eyed and unresponsive, “just like a zombie.” A desperate Mrs. Kichmeier contacted her husband’s hypnosis tutor, who was able to talk his pupil back to consciousness while his wife held the phone to his ear. “I underestimated the techniques and how powerful they were,” said Kichmeier later.
