(Lions Gate, $27.98)

Director Louie Psihoyos’ documentary about dolphin poaching in a Japanese cove is compelling from start to finish, said New York. It plays like a “slick caper,” while thoroughly exposing the often disastrous results of seizing dolphins to be kept in captivity.

Mystery Science Theater 3000: XVI

(Shout! Factory, $64.99)

These episodes of the cult TV show will inspire 1990s nostalgia, said The Onion. The premise—a man and two robots, forced to watch bad movies, decide to make fun of them—is silly. The resulting wisecracks are hilarious. The four-episode set comes with an action figure of one of the robots, Crow.
