This reimagining of the cult classic TV series from the late ’60s promises to be as intriguing as the original.
This reimagining of the cult classic TV series from the late ’60s drops the James Bond trappings for an existential approach abetted by striking desert locations. Stepping into the role created by Patrick McGoohan, Jim Caviezel plays “Number Six”—a man trapped in an Orwellian “village,” whose sunny facade masks its sinister purpose. Ian McKellen oozes reptilian charm as his chief captor, “Number Two,” and an unsettling, dream-like quality promises that this new series will be as intriguing as the original. Six opening episodes air over three nights. Sunday–Tuesday, Nov. 15–17, at 8 p.m., AMC
