In this episode, Larry David agrees to a Seinfeld reunion.
“Reunion shows are so lame,” observes Seinfeld co-creator Larry David in this episode of the mordant sitcom loosely based on his own life. Yet he agrees to a Seinfeld reunion anyway, because he’s scheming to get his fictional ex-wife back by writing her into it. So begins a multi-episode coda to one of the most successful TV shows of all time, with Seinfeld’s Jason Alexander, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Michael Richards, and Jerry Seinfeld all playing themselves. As Alexander remarks, “It could make up for the finale,” which disappointed many in 1998. Sunday, Oct. 4, at 9 p.m., HBO
