Four of the world’s biggest record companies sued The Ellen DeGeneres Show this week, accusing the producers of using more than 1,000 songs without permission. The suit claims the copyright infringements occurred during a popular segment of the show when DeGeneres, 51, dances over to her desk after her monologue. DeGeneres was recently named Paula Abdul’s replacement as a judge on American Idol.
