Culminating a feud that began after the CNBC reporter Rick Santelli's on-air rant at President Obama's mortgage bailout, Stewart gave CNBC Mad Money host Jim Cramer a long lecture on Stewart's Daily Show, (watch Stewart's introduction and part 1 of the interview) scolding Cramer for blindly trusting CEOs instead of warning investors of a coming economic meltdown. "What happened to stock pundit Jim Cramer?" asked Diane Brady in BusinessWeek. He never claimed to be an investigative reporter, yet he sat there "cowed" as Stewart slammed him and CNBC for "not being more of a watchdog before the crisis." Since when is Cramer a "somber spokesman" whose job is answering for CNBC's every error on a comedy show?
