A Belgian woman killed her love rival by sabotaging her parachute before a sky dive, prosecutors charged last week. Els Clottemans, 22, was charged with murdering Els Van Doren, 37, in a rage because the married Van Doren was having an affair with Clottemans’ boyfriend. The three were sky-diving together when Van Doren was unable to open either her main parachute or her spare parachute and plummeted 4,000 feet to the ground. A camera in her headgear filmed her frantic efforts to work the chutes. Police said both chutes had been tampered with. Once the love triangle aspect emerged, suspicion fell on Clottemans, who then attempted suicide.
