American terror victim
The week's news at a glance.
Jenin, West Bank
Daniel Wultz, 16, of Weston, Fla., died this week of injuries sustained in a suicide bombing in Tel Aviv last month. Wultz and his parents were in Israel visiting his grandparents for Passover. He and his father were wounded when a 21-year-old Palestinian from Islamic Jihad blew himself up in a restaurant, leaving 10 dead and 50 injured. Israeli forces this week raided a West Bank house, killing the bomb maker who masterminded the Tel Aviv attack, along with six other Islamic Jihad members. Some security officials complained that Israeli forces had known all along where the bombers were, but attacked them only after an American had died.
