Fort Bragg, N.C.
Seven paratroopers from the elite 82nd Airborne were charged last week with being paid to have sex in gay porn videos. Three of the men—Spc. Richard T. Ashley, Pfc. Wesley K. Mitten, and Pvt. Kagen B. Mullen—face court-martial hearings on charges of sodomy, pandering, and having sex for money. Mullen was also accused of adultery. Four others, whose names were not released, will be demoted, placed under restrictions, and docked a month’s pay. The accusations were filed after a military investigation into a gay porn Web site that was operated out of a residence in Fayetteville, N.C., near the 82nd Airborne’s home at Fort Bragg.
