Terror sting

New York
A Florida doctor and a New York martial arts instructor were accused this week of conspiring to train and treat al Qaida terrorists. The FBI began investigating the men—Tarik Shah, 42, and Dr. Rafiq Sabir, 50—after Shah reportedly told a paid FBI informant that he had trained “brothers” in hand-to-hand combat for “jihad.” Both men allegedly met with an undercover FBI agent posing as a terrorist recruiter and pledged allegiance to Osama bin Laden. New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg said the men may not have had actual ties to terrorists, but “they clearly have said that they wanted to destroy our way of life and hurt the people of America.”
