Nuclear test prep

North Korea stepped up its taunts of President Bush this week, after U.S. officials reported that the rogue state may be preparing its first test of a nuclear weapon. “Bush is the world’s worst fascist dictator, a first-class war maniac, and a Hitler Junior,” said the state newspaper Rodong Sinmun. “His hands are stained with the blood of innocent people.” U.S. officials said last week that spy satellite images from North Korea showed possible preparations for a nuclear test, including the digging of a large hole and construction of a reviewing stand. But some experts warned it could all be a bluff. “North Korea would do anything to make other countries believe that it is a nuclear power,” said South Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Chun Yung Woo.
