Amazing find

Montevideo, Uruguay
A survivor of the 1972 plane crash that inspired the movie Alive got his old wallet back last week. A mountain climber found it near the crash site, in the Andes Mountains, and sent it back to its owner, Eduardo Strauch, 57, a Uruguayan architect and father of five. Strauch was traveling with his rugby team when the plane crashed high in the snow-covered Andes. Twenty-nine people died. The 16 survivors endured extreme cold and blinding snowstorms for 72 days, and stayed alive by eating the flesh of the dead. Strauch called the discovery of his long-lost wallet, with his old driver’s license still inside, a “miracle inside a miracle.”
