Australia withstood a final day charge from England as a thrilling second Ashes Test finished in a nail-biting draw, and although Ben Stokes won the man of the match award thanks to his brilliant century, everyone is talking about Jofra Archer.
England’s new spearhead made quite an impact at Lord’s and his introduction appears to have shifted the momentum in England’s favour. His raw pace has shaken Australia’s batsman, and his felling of Steve Smith – struck in the neck by a vicious bouncer on Saturday and ruled out of the match – could be the pivotal moment of the series.

Chelsea lessons
The drama at Lord’s even relegated the Premier League to the status of support act for most papers. But the Star leads with the news that Frank Lampard has warned his young Chelsea side that they “must learn their lessons quickly” after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Leicester as the new Blues boss returned to Stamford Bridge. The result leaves Lampard without a win this season, although Mason Mount gave the fans cause for hope with a well-taken opening goal.
