Klopp backs Gerrard
The Daily Mirror and Daily Star report that Jurgen Klopp has tipped Steven Gerrard to be his replacement as Liverpool manager.
Klopp has three years left on his contract but has earmarked Rangers boss Gerrard, 39, to return to Anfield.
As a player “Stevie G” made more than 700 appearances for the Reds and lifted the Champions League as captain in 2005.

Speaking to FourFourTwo, German Klopp said: “If Liverpool were to sack me tomorrow, then maybe Kenny [Dalglish] would be the first choice to replace me, but they would probably bring Stevie down from Glasgow.
“If you ask who should follow me, I’d say Stevie. I help him whenever I can. If someone gets your job, it’s not about them, it’s about you not being good enough.”

Solskjaer needs time
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is under pressure at Old Trafford but according to the Daily Express there is no crisis at Manchester United, who posted a record £627m income yesterday.
Metro reports that executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward believes that United manager Solskjaer needs more time and fans should be patient.
