1. Michelle Yeoh gets married after 19-year engagement
She said yes … nearly two decades ago. Michelle Yeoh has finally married her longtime partner, former Ferrari CEO Jean Todt, after they were engaged for a whopping 19 years. The news was revealed on Instagram by racing driver Felipe Massa, who shared photos from the wedding. The program described how Yeoh and Todt met in June 2004, and he proposed to her a month later. But they never got around to tying the knot until now. "Today after 6992 days on 27th July 2023 in Geneva, surrounded by loving family and friends, we are so happy to celebrate this special moment together," the program said, and one of the photos shared by Massa showed the actress holding her Oscar. Yeoh told The Guardian in 2021 that she and Todt have "been threatening to get married for such a long time," and "sometimes we say, 'Wait, didn't we already do it?'" Here's to a lifetime of laundry and taxes.
2. Megan Fox defends asking fans to donate to friend's GoFundMe
Megan Fox is telling her GoFundMe critics to go do a certain other four letter word. On Instagram, the actor recently shared a GoFundMe page raising $30,000 to cover medical expenses for her friend's dad, who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, and encouraged followers to donate. But she received backlash as some wondered why Fox, a wealthy celebrity, was asking fans to pitch in when she could presumably afford to pay the entire amount herself. In a follow-up post, the "Transformers" star addressed the "weirdos" giving her grief, asking if "any of you have the emotional intelligence to consider that maybe" her friend, a nail artist, "doesn't want her celebrity clients donating large sums of money to her because it creates a dynamic in her working relationships that makes her uncomfortable?" So Fox said she obliged her friend's request to post the fundraiser instead, adding, "So try again on another day (probably tmwr!) with some different bulls--t you bunch of psychos." Jennifer bodied.

3. Swifties cause seismic activity equivalent to a 2.3-magnitude earthquake
Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is making waves — seismic waves, that is. Seismologist Jackie Caplan-Auerbach told CNN that during Swift's recent concerts in Seattle, fans caused seismic activity equivalent to a 2.3-magnitude earthquake. "I collected about 10 hours of data where rhythm controlled the behavior," she explained. "The music, the speakers, the beat. All that energy can drive into the ground and shake it." This so-called "Swift Quake" was comparable to the "Beast Quake," in which Seattle Seahawks fans similarly caused seismic activity after a touchdown by Marshawn Lynch in 2011. "I grabbed the data from both nights of the concert and quickly noticed they were clearly the same pattern of signals," Caplan-Auerbach told CNN. "If I overlay them on top of each other, they're nearly identical." According to Caplan-Auerbach, though, the shaking at Swift's concert "was twice as strong as 'Beast Quake.' It absolutely doubled it." For the sake of the planet, you need to calm down.
4. Donald Glover to write his Lando Calrissian "Star Wars" show
You might want to buckle up, baby. Donald Glover is set to write the Disney+ "Lando" series in addition to starring in it as Lando Calrissian, as first reported by Above the Line and confirmed by Gizmodo. Lucasfilm announced a "Star Wars" series centered on Lando back in 2020, and although fans assumed Glover would reprise the role from 2018's "Solo: A Star Wars Story," that was never confirmed until now. In April, the actor told GQ he would "love" to play Lando again and cryptically teased, "We're talking about it." The reports now say Glover will write the show alongside his brother, Stephen Glover, with whom he collaborated on "Atlanta." Meanwhile, "Haunted Mansion" director Justin Simien, who was attached to "Lando" since it was announced nearly three years ago, is reportedly no longer involved in the project. Find someone who loves you as much as Lucasfilm loves parting ways with directors.

5. Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard spent $600 to sleep at the airport but got "kicked out"
Kristen Bell has entered the bad place, a.k.a. the airport. In a series of Instagram stories, Bell said she and husband Dax Shepard got "stranded at the Boston airport" with their kids after nine hours of delays, and they "made quite a home" there. Shepard shared a video that showed Bell setting up camp and laying out blankets on the floor, as there were no hotel rooms available. "How much money have you spent on blankets and neck pillows?" Bell asked Shepard. "$350," he said, and she also dropped $253 on bed sheets. "So we're at $600," Shepard pointed out, though he "decided to just buy one toothbrush for the whole family to share." According to Bell, they "wanted to stay but we were kicked out." Luckily, they found "friends of friends who offered us [their] attics" to stay in at 1:00 a.m., though unfortunately for him, Shepard had already "taken his sleep aids." Someone get them a non-alcoholic beer.
