Downing Street has said that Boris Johnson “continues to make good progress” in his recovery from the new coronavirus.

Following a week in St Thomas’ Hospital in central London, including three nights in intensive care, the prime minister is now recuperating at Chequers with his fiance Carrie Symonds.
