3. MARIE COLVIN BURIED IN LONG ISLAND
Sunday Times correspondent Marie Colvin was laid to rest at her home town on Long Island, New York, yesterday. Among the 300 mourners were family members including her mother Rosemarie, immigrants from the countries she reported on, Times proprietor Rupert Murdoch and editor John Witherow.

4. GPS 'WILL WORK' WITH COALITION ON BILL
The Royal College of GPs has said it is willing to work with the government on implementing changes to the NHS. The group was dropped from talks last month after declaring its opposition to the bill but now head Clare Gerada says members, though still opposed, are willing to find a "way forward".
5. TALIBAN ATTACK AT GUN RAMPAGE SITE
Taliban militants have attacked an Afghan government delegation while it was visiting the site in Kandahar province of the gun rampage by a US soldier who killed 16 Afghan villagers. One Afghan army soldier was killed. Meanwhile, the US defense secretary has said the 38-year-old US soldier responsible for the massacre could face the death penalty.

6. HEAD BUTT MP QUITS LABOUR
Eric Joyce, the Falkirk MP who pleaded guilty to four counts of assault last week, committed in a House of Commons bar, has resigned from the Labour party, saying he has "a number of personal issues to address". He has already announced he will not stand for re-election at the next general election.
7. ISRAEL AND MILITANTS AGREE TRUCE
Israel has agreed a truce with Palestinian militants in the Gaza Strip following four days of tit-for-tat attacks which started when the leader of the Popular Resistance Committees was assassinated in an Israeli airstrike. 25 Palestinians have been killed in airstrikes since Friday, while five Israelis have been wounded in Palestinian rocket attacks.

8. HARRY: I'M NOT SURE ABOUT ENGLAND
Harry Redknapp has set the cat among the pigeons by telling a French magazine that he isn't sure he wants to become England manager quite yet. 9. SADE TAKES U.S. BY STORM
The UK's highest-earning act in the US last year was Sade, according to Billboard magazine's annual list. The 1980s singer and her band released no new material but launched a world tour which grossed so much it made them the sixth-most paid music act in the US, as well as the richest from the UK.
10. HOT TICKET: RETURN OF GILBERT & GEORGE
Former Turner Prize-winners Gilbert & George are back with an ambitious show based on the 3,712 newspaper bills they’ve pilfered from outside news agents over recent years. The headlines are laid over backgrounds featuring the artists themselves. “Their best work for some time,” says the Standard. Until mid-May at White Cube.
