1. BRITONS KILLED IN NEPAL PLANE CRASH

Seven Britons are reported to be among 19 people killed when a plane ferrying climbers and tourists to the Everest region crashed in Nepal yesterday. The twin-engined Sita Air plane crashed into a river bank minutes after take-off from the capital, Kathmandu. The dead have not yet been identified. First reports suggest the plane struck a bird.
