1. WELBY ON WOMEN BISHOPS: IT'S TIME

The next Archbishop of Canterbury has backed the introduction of women bishops, saying it is "time to finish the job" started 20 years ago by the ordination of women priests. Speaking at today's General Synod debate and vote about the issue, the Right Reverend Justin Welby said provisions for opponents would be "carried out faithfully".
