1. EGYPT: NEW PRESIDENT SWORN IN

Adly Mansour, the judge who was today sworn-in as Egypt's interim President, has said he will try to represent all sections of Egyptian society. His predecessor, Mohammed Morsi, who was ousted from power by the Egyptian army yesterday is being detained at the Defence Ministry. Arrest warrants have been issued for 300 Muslim Brotherhood officials.
