1. ROYAL MAIL SELL-OFF LOST TAXPAYERS £1BN

A cross-party committee of MPs has said that the government cost the taxpayer as much as £1bn by setting too low a share price when privatising the Royal Mail. The select committee said the government was given bad advice by City advisers. Vince Cable hotly denied the accuracy of the claims.
