‘Large Scottish man’ flashes Joe Biden
And other stories from the stranger side of life
A “large naked Scottish man” flashed Joe Biden as he passed the man’s house in his motorcade, a reporter has revealed. The US president was travelling from Edinburgh to Glasgow to the Cop26 summit when the man took a picture of the motorcade while in the nude. In response to the incident, the BBC’s Jon Sopel tweeted: “Welcome to Scotland, Mr President.”
Why Ed Sheeran shuns urinals
Ed Sheeran says he avoids urinals wherever possible because fans try to lean over and look at his genitalia while he is using the toilet. “There will be 20 urinals and I will stand at an end one and someone will come and stand right next to me just to have a look,” complained the singer. “So my rule is I usually don’t.”

Whale poo helps the oceans
The vast appetites of the largest whales are giving oceans a boost because they produce three times as much excrement – a vital source of nutrients that other organisms require to flourish. “We’re looking into ways of using this information to restore ocean ecosystems and bring whales back,” said an expert, “and hopefully, that will have benefits for everything from biodiversity conservation to fisheries yield to carbon storage.”
