Hungry duo in hot water over potato prank
Officials from the town of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, are appealing for help in locating two men filmed roasting potatoes over an eternal flame memorial for fallen soldiers of World War II, the latest in a spate of similar incidents throughout the region. It is not clear what penalties the two men may face if they are identified.

Drivers told to 'stop being kind'
Authorities in Prince Edward Island, Canada, have issued a statement asking local drivers to "stop being so nice to each other" following a spate of serious accidents. Police say too many motorists are trying to be polite by letting other cars enter junctions before them. The polite behaviour is said to have caused at least three major accidents in the past two weeks.
Shoplifter caught during 'Shop with a Cop' event
A man is in custody after attempting to steal a television from a supermarket in Florida while police were buying toys with underprivileged children. The man was spotted trying to leave the Walmart store without paying and arrested. The police were buying gifts for their annual "Shop with a Cop" event.
