Cowboys owner funded Chris Christie's jaunt to watch Dallas' playoff game

Chris Christie had another reason to hug Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones besides his beloved team's comeback win. That's because Jones paid for Christie's trip to Dallas, where the two sat together in a luxury box and, after the Cowboys won, shared an awkward embrace.
Christie "attended the game [Sunday] night as a guest of Jerry Jones, who provided both the ticket and transportation at no expense to New Jersey taxpayers," a spokesperson for the governor told The Wall Street Journal.
Though accepting such gifts is legal, the Journal notes that Jones is also part owner of a forthcoming observation deck inside One World Trade Center — a building run by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
