Getting gift cards under the tree has its perks — unless, of course, your uncle has no idea which stores you actually shop at. Stuck with gift cards you have no desire to use? Walmart has a deal that can help you out, Fortune reports.
The retailer set up an exchange for more than two hundred gift card merchants. You'll get money back in the form of a Walmart e-gift card, and let's face it, there's probably something you can buy from Walmart.
Of course, there's a catch: You won't get the full value of your gift card back. The value depends on the specific card you're swapping. For example, you'll get almost 97 percent of the value of a Target gift card, but only about 72 percent for Starbucks.
