Micro homes have been big for a few years, but it's rare to see one that remains forever mobile. The Oregon company that makes the Tiny Heirloom ($65,000) builds every one of its custom-constructed dwellings atop a travel trailer, said HiConsumption. You can plug into an outside power source, but each comes with a choice of wind, solar, or battery power and requires no sewer hookup. Inside, a sleeping loft is typically located above the kitchen, and standard amenities include wood flooring, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and even a washer-dryer unit.
