The U.S. economy grew at a robust 3.9 percent rate last quarter

The U.S. economy grew faster than previously expected in the third quarter of the year, expanding at an annual rate of 3.9 percent, the Department of Commerce said Tuesday. The agency previously pegged growth at a 3.5 percent for Q3.

The revised figure represents the strongest third-quarter growth for the country in a decade.
