The 2016 Rio Organizing Committee has revealed the official mascots for the Olympic and Paralympic games, which will be held in Brazil.
The Olympics' mascot is a yellow cat, while the Paralympics' mascot is a leafy green creature. And the Brazilian public will get to name them: Some of the potential names for the pair includes Oba and Eba; Tiba Tuque and Esquindim, and Vinicius and Tom.
The mascots are part of a 12,000-product Olympic merchandising campaign. Reuters reports that the committee hopes to raise $398 million in sales from Rio 2016 merchandise — and there's even a Brazilian television series centered around the mascots in the works.
