Watch Tony Hawk pivot, spin, and totally wipe out while riding the world's first hoverboard
Last month, California startup Arx Pax launched a Kickstarter campaign to crowdfund the development of its first hoverboard prototype. The contraption, dubbed the Hendo Hoverboard, uses four hover engines and specialized magnets that interact with a custom surface and enable the board to float 1 inch above the ground.
But all that aside, is it really a board unless Tony Hawk can do cool tricks on it? Watch below as the famed skateboarder trades his trucks and wheels for conductors and magnets and takes the Hendo Hoverboard for a (literal) spin. --Kimberly Alters
