Sarah Palin has told the GOP that its midterm victories may be "short-lived."
In a Facebook post Wednesday, Palin congratulated the GOP candidates who won in Tuesday's midterm elections. But she added that "Americans were not necessarily voting for any party," because they were really voting "against the continued dysfunction and corruption in D.C."
"So, establishment types, remember that you didn't build this," Palin wrote. "This majority that swept you into power tonight is thanks to the rank and file commonsense conservative grassroots. That's who built it. And they expect results."
Palin added that to maintain control of the Senate past 2016, the GOP "must learn the lesson from the last time Republicans held the Senate majority," which means they "must not retreat" and should remain true to the GOP platform.
