Fighting reported inside al-Aqsa compound

Israeli police say that security forces clashed with Palestinian protesters at the al-Aqsa mosque compound in the Old City of Jerusalem on Wednesday, with demonstrators throwing fireworks and stones at police.
Omar Alkeswani, a Palestinian manager of al-Aqsa, told Al Jazeera that around 20 people were injured inside the compound. The crowd was eventually dispersed after officers used stun grenades, police said.
Skirmishes continue to break out as tensions rise from right-wing Jewish people requesting to pray inside the compound and the expansion of an Israeli settlement in east Jerusalem, Al Jazeera reports.
