In Guam, unofficial results have incumbent Gov. Eddie Calvo (R) defeating his opponent, former Gov. Carl Gutierrez (D), by a huge margin. The results also show a measure on legalizing medicinal marijuana passing.
With 58 precincts counted, Calvo and his running mate, Lt. Gov. Ray Tenorio, have 22,365 votes to Gutierrez and his running mate Gary Gumataoao's 12,632 votes, Guam's Pacific Daily News reports.
More than 56 percent of voters cast their ballots in favor of legalizing medicinal marijuana on Guam. The government is now required to draw up rules and regulations on how to dispense and use marijuana.
