Less than two weeks after Aaron Sorkin revealed that Christian Bale would star in Danny Boyle's buzzed-about Steve Jobs movie, The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Bale has quit the role "after much deliberation and conflicting feelings."
In a recent interview, Sorkin said that Bale was "the best actor on the board" for what he described as "an extremely difficult part." Despite Sorkin's praise, sources report that Bale ultimately decided he wasn't the right actor to play Steve Jobs.
The Hollywood Reporter adds that Danny Boyle is in Los Angeles this week meeting with other prospective actors for the movie, including Seth Rogen, who is in discussions to play Jobs' Apple co-founder and friend Steve Wozniak.
