Poll: Mitch McConnell building up final lead in Kentucky

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) appears to have the final momentum in his hard-fought campaign back home in Kentucky, according to this season's final Bluegrass Poll, which is conducted by SurveyUSA for a number of Kentucky media outlets.
McConnell has 48 percent support, compared to Democratic challenger Alison Lundergan Grimes with 43 percent, plus 3 percent for Libertarian candidate David Patterson. The survey of likely voters was conducted from Oct. 25 to 29, and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.1 percentage points.
In the previous Bluegrass Poll from a week ago, McConnell only had a narrow edge of 44 percent to 43 percent.

McConnell's ultimate ambition, however, is to become the Senate Majority Leader after all the elections next week — and that, of course, will depend on a lot of other races all across the country.
