Italian architect Alessandro Isola found a muse in his own clumsiness, said Megan Willett at Business Insider. Isola's Stumble Upon Coffee Table ($8,600) was inspired by a rug he regularly tripped on. Instead of trying to tame upturned carpet edges, he created a rug with one corner whose polished metal underside curled upward to offer a resting place for a magazine or cocktail. Isola also hopes to start producing a rug that forms a long bench-like sofa where it billows up from the floor. You may not want either piece in your home, "but you can be sure quite a few eccentric millionaires will."
