36 percent of Americans say Ebola is 'extremely important' election issue

Ebola is a more important midterm issue than immigration and gay marriage, according to a CNN poll released Tuesday.
In the survey, 36 percent of Americans said the government's response to Ebola was "extremely important" to how they will vote next Tuesday. For comparison's sake, that was larger than the percentages that said the same about illegal immigration (32 percent), foreign affairs (29 percent), and same-sex marriage (17 percent.)
That Ebola has emerged as a leading issue in the midterms may not be all too surprising though, given how many Republican candidates have seized on the issue to criticize the president and their Democratic opponents.
