Pumpkin Spice Lattes have taken on a surprising amount of controversy in America: They're the symbol of someone who's "basic," which also suggests uncomfortable racial connotations.
If you want an equally seasonal and sweet treat from the coffee chain without such a negative connotation, Starbucks will soon have you covered. The brand has announced its Chestnut Praline Latte will hit stores on Nov. 12. The latte, Starbucks' "first new holiday handcrafted beverage in five years," will feature chestnut praline syrup, praline crumbles, and (of course) whipped cream.
