Anna Stoehr, a.k.a. Minnesota's oldest living resident, had to lie about her age to join Facebook.
Stoehr, who was born in 1900, found out that the social network's birthday options only went back as far as 1905. According to her new Facebook account, Stoehr is a sprightly 99-year-old.
The tech-savvy Stoehr decided to join Facebook after becoming friends with Verizon salesman Joseph Ramireza. After Ramireza sold Stoehr's son an iPhone, she's taken a greater interest in the internet. Stoehr uses her iPad to FaceTime with friends and family.
