Jacksonville Jaguars apologize for taunting opponent with Ebola joke

The Jacksonville Jaguars have apologized after their mascot on Sunday taunted the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers with a joke about Ebola.
During the game, Jaguars mascot Jaxson de Ville brandished one of the Steelers' iconic Terrible Towels in one hand and a sign that read "Towels carry Ebola" in the other.
The team on Monday said it was "unaware of this inappropriate sign" until Jaxson displayed it on the field.

"We are handling the matter internally and taking it very seriously," the team said in a statement. "We extend our sincerest apologies to anyone who was offended."
