Majority of Americans say Obama's presidency has been a failure

That's according to a brutal new Washington Post-ABC News poll that finds the public's support for and confidence in the president slumping to near-record lows.
In the poll, 52 percent of adults say the Obama presidency has so far been a "failure," while 42 percent say it has been a "success." Partisanship explains much of the split. Sixty-eight percent of Democrats say the Obama years have been a success, versus 25 percent who say the opposite. Among Republicans, that split is 10 percent to 87 percent.
Also in the survey, Obama's approval rating stands at a dismal 42 percent, while the percentage of Americans who approve of his handling of immigration (31 percent) and foreign policy (38 percent) are also around their lowest levels ever.
