The Department of Energy creates 'green coloring books' for school kids

The U.S. Department of Energy is celebrating back-to-school week by providing students and teachers with "creative lesson plans, labs, projects and other energy-related activities for grades K-12."
The Blaze reports that the department's green coloring book "encourages kids to be part of the clean energy generation" by providing information on and images of solar panels and wind turbines. In the department's "energy awareness activity book," kids are encouraged to "make the switch" to more energy efficient light bulbs.
The DOE's website has a page dedicated entirely to education with "resources... that make learning about energy fun." Check out the coloring book below. --Teresa Mull
